CLAMP’s Tokyo Babylon gets TV anime

An anime adaptation of CLAMP’s Tokyo Babylon – titled Tokyo Babylon 2021 – is in the works, and is set for broadcast in 2021.

Tokyo Babylon, serialised in Shinshokan’s monthly publication Wings from 1990 to 1993, is a dark fantasy that follows sorcerer Subaru Sumeragi, his twin sister Hokuto and veterinarian Seishiro Sakurazuka as they solve various spiritual cases in Tokyo. A total of seven volumes of the manga was released.

The upcoming TV series is set in 2021, and is produced by Gohands, the animation studio famed for their work on the Mardock Scramble and K series. Along with the reveal of the first promotional video is its teaser visual, which features protagonist Subaru.
